We understand that booking a stag or hen weekend can be a stressful and sometimes confusing affair, which is why we’ve put together a page with some of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Party Krakow.
Surely it will be cheaper to book on my own than through a company? I don’t see how it can be a good deal for me and the agency?
The answer to this one is quite simple. If you owned a business, would you give a better deal to one group who you will never see again, or are you likely to give preferential treatment to an agency which is guaranteed to bring you hundreds of customers throughout the year? We are constantly scouring Krakow and the surrounding areas to find companies who will give both us and our customers a great deal.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper to book through a big UK based company?
Not at all. OK, a lot of them are ABTA accredited… even if you know what those abbreviations mean you should also know that if they go bust you will not claim back all the funds that you have paid but only a part of them! Also the profit margin which those agencies put on to local agent’s prices is often extremely high. Sounds unlikely? Well, we still can’t believe that they charge so much commission on top of the prices they pay. But it’s true! Besides, good local operators usually require only a part of the payment in advance (25% in our case) – the rest is payable in cash once you arrive in Krakow. The cancellation fees (for example for late drop outs) are also far less severe than with any UK agents.
Can we book our flights through Party Krakow?
This is one service we don’t provide as it would end up costing you a lot more to book flights through us. We are always here to give you advice on where to find the best deals though. If you are having trouble finding a cheap flight to Krakow then perhaps you could try looking at flying to Katowice.
When is the best time to book flights?
Like any other part of the stag weekend, the earlier you get booked up the better. Very occasionally you may find a cheap last minute deal but this is highly unlikely, and prices tend to soar in the weeks before the event.
How does the payment system work?
Our payment system is very straightforward, we require two deposits; one of 50 GBP which is payable within 24 hours of making the booking to secure the services, and then a second deposit due 30 days before arrival of 25% of the total balance. The two deposits are payable by either UK bank transfer to our NatWest account or via PayPal, with the rest of the balance paid in cash to your guide when she meets you.
I’ve made a booking but the number of people has changed, can I amend the booking?
All changes made by a group leader are free until paying a deposit. After we receive it, all alterations will be recalculated on the basis of current prices. When booking an accommodation package, you may also incur some surcharges if your group size decreases and you didn’t notify us in writing about it at least 35 days before the event takes place.
Do we need visas for Poland?
So long as you have an EU passport then no visa is required. A popular stag prank though is to pretend to the stag that you all have visas and he’s forgotten to get his, so that’s something to bear in mind.
Does Poland have the Euro?
No not yet, and this is still a fairly common mistake made my some groups who turn up. Please remember you have to have Polish ZLOTY, and if you turn up with Euros they won’t be exchanged and you’ll lose money by having to change them up.
